Shaykh Salim al-Amry is from the United Arab Emirates. He is a Computer Engineer by profession, however has spent a major part of his youth studying under different scholars. He has taken the effort to obtain knowledge of the different sciences of Islam including Aqidah, Usool, Hadeeth, Fiqh, Tafseer, Arabic language and more. His teachers include: Shaykh Ali Khashshan and Shaykh Mahmood ‘Atiyyah, who were two of the first students of Shaykh Albani and under both Shaykh Salem Al-Amry studied Aqidah.
Shaykh Abu Muntasir is the founder and Chief Executive of JIMAS and holds a B.Sc. (Hons) M.Sc. in Computer Science and a MA in Islamic Studies from the University of London together with a diploma in Arabic.
The Shaykh has been actively involved in da’wah and Ta’leem in the UK for almost 30 years. Abu Muntasir has mentored numerous students of Knowledge into becoming teachers themselves. Hundreds of people have become Muslim and thousands have started to practice their deen, due to the Shaykh’s efforts. The Shaykh is the serving Academic Director for the Sacred Sciences Curriculum, delivering courses in his specialisations of Seerah, Hadith, Ihsan studies. He is well known for his thought provoking interactive style.
Among the Shaykh’s various public positions he is currently i) chaplain for University Campus Suffolk, Suffolk New College, and the Ipswich Hospital, ii) member of the Local Scrutiny & Involvement Panel (LSIP) for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) East England, and iii) member of the Police Crime Panel for Police & Crime Commissioner (Suffolk).
Dr. Shabir Ally holds an M.A. and PhD in Islamic studies from the University of Toronto. He completed his B.A. in Religious Studies from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario, with a specialization in Biblical Literature. For over 30 years, he has been an active member of the Muslim community in Toronto, as well as an active participant in interfaith dialogues and initiatives. He is an internationally sought after speaker, scholar and theologian, and is the author of numerous books on Islam and the Abrahamic faiths.
Shaykh Hesham Al-Awadi was born in Kuwait and educated in the United Kingdom. He completed his BA, MA, MPhil and PhD in the field of Middle Eastern Politics and History, in various British universities including the University of Cambridge.
He also has a Diploma in Islamic Studies from the Institute of Islamic Studies, Cairo. He is an author of numerous books and is a lecturer of Middle Eastern History at the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, University of Exeter, United Kingdom.
